The long-awaited revised Code of Conduct that governs the behaviour of insurance advisors and intermediaries has been released and is available under Code of Conduct on this website.
The new Code of Conduct is in line with the General Code as determined by FAIS. The Code is also brings the industry closer to one industry code.
The Code of Conduct states standard requirements of competence, integrity and financial capacity in order to be registered with the FIA and to comply with all legal requirements. It serves to ensure that all service providers maintain the highest level of professionalism and ethics and provide consumers with peace-of-mind.
